Sexual Assault Awareness Month

On March 11, 2003 a bipartisan group of Congress officially designated April as National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month. Although SARSSM has been educating the public and taking care of survivors for over thirty years, we celebrate the opportunity to increase public awareness every April.

You can help educate those around you by dispelling the myths that surround victims of sexual assault. Please refer anyone you know who has experienced sexual assault and needs information and support to our 24-hour hotline: 1-800-313-9900.
