Advocacy

Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Advocates

Survivors of sexual violence often have unique and evolving needs, and may feel overwhelmed trying to navigate the support, resources, and options available.

This is where our Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) can help. Our compassionate and knowledgeable Advocates help survivors and their loved ones. An Advocate learns about a survivor’s individual needs and asks what types of support they want or need. SART Advocates also offer resources that help survivors make informed decisions about next steps.

Everyone at SARSSM keeps
survivors’ experiences confidential and asks for permission before acting on their behalf.

Requests for Services & Referral Process:

Call our free, 24-hour helpline at 1-800-871-7741. Our helpline advocates can submit a referral on your behalf.

If you are a community partner making a referral on behalf of someone, please complete our referral form and email it to [email protected].

A member of our Advocacy Services team will be in touch within 2 business days.

  • Providing information on criminal justice and legal options.
  • Helping to file a police report.
  • Helping to file Protection from Abuse (PFA) or Protection from Harassment (PFH) paperwork.
  • Referring survivors to legal support.
