211 is a free, 24-hour, confidential information and referral service that connects people to local Maine resources.  Whether it’s financial assistance, domestic violence, addiction treatment, health care, mental health, or heating and utilities assistance, 211 will walk you through all of your options.

Sexual Harassment

(Local) MaineCanDo: A compilation of resources designed for Mainers who want more from the places they work, shop, play and eat in the #MeToo era. Employers will find tools like human resource policies, resources, and checklists to make practical and sustainable change easier - even if they don't have the benefit of a human resources department. Individuals who have been harassed (and those who support them) will find practical advice and connections to trained advocates who can help navigate next steps.

Sexual Harassment At Work- What Are Your Rights?


National Street Harassment Hotline: Created by Stop Street Harassment, Defend Yourself, and operated by RAINN, the National Street Harassment Hotline is a resource for those affected by gender-based street harassment.

Stalking

Stalking Resource Center: The Stalking Resource Center is a program of the National Center for Victims of Crime. Their website provides statistics on stalking, information on safety planning and other resources.

Trafficking

(Local) Preble Street Anti-Trafficking Services - Provides access to services, support and information, helps survivors understand those services, and supports survivors. In addition to facilitating healing and growth, Anti-Trafficking Services promotes individual and systemic justice, working with clients to ensure they have choices, including access to many additional services.

National Human Trafficking Resource Center: A national multilingual anti-trafficking hotline. Caller can report a tip; connect with anti-trafficking services in their area; or request training and technical assistance, general information, or specific anti-trafficking resources. 

U.S. Department of Justice Trafficking in Persons and Worker Exploitation Complaint Line:
 Call to report suspected instances of human trafficking or worker exploitation or contact the FBI field office nearest you. Offers foreign language translation services in most languages as well as TTY. After business hours, the complaint line has a message service in English, Spanish, Russian, and Mandarin.
