The Center's Mission

The Children's Advocacy Center of York County (CACYC) is a program of Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine. CACYC’s mission is to reduce trauma experienced by children and families, to increase communication between investigators, streamline child abuse investigations, and ensure survivors of child sexual abuse have all necessary supports in place.

National Accreditation

In 2019, CACYC received National Accreditation through the National Children's Alliance (NCA), the national association and accrediting body for children’s advocacy centers in the United States. Read the NCA’s 2021 Annual Report to see how CAC’s make a difference.

Contacting the CACYC
