Educator Resources

How We Support Educators

Our Prevention and Education Program has a range of offerings to support students and educators (teachers, guidance counselors, and school social workers who deliver child abuse prevention content) in primary and secondary schools across York and Cumberland Counties.

We offer age-appropriate curriculums and supplemental materials that teachers, school social workers and guidance counselors can use on topics related to child sexual abuse and sexual violence prevention. Our materials align with state mandates and best practice.

  • Technical Assistance
  • Our Diversity & Inclusion Efforts
We also offer robust trainings and educational resources for educators, with three goals in mind: appropriate use of our student-facing resources, compliance with their state training mandates, and skills development to best support their students.  You can access our educator tools on our virtual Educator Toolkit platform, which you can access by submitting a request via the form below.

We pride ourselves on being highly responsive to the needs of educators and are available to provide technical assistance. Educators are also welcome to reach out to us with unique classroom needs. We will try to accommodate you as our capacity allows.

Other School-Based Activities We Offer

We are excited to offer the following in-person or virtual prevention and education activities:
Customizable After-school Group Engagement: Invite us to train student leaders, facilitate dialog around sexual violence prevention, or collaborate on customized after-school activities! We love supporting gay-straight alliances, students organizing against sexual violence, and others! Recommended for middle and high schools.

Lunch Drop-In Sessions: Invite us to table during lunchtime where we will hand out resources, answer questions, and engage with your students! Recommended for middle and high schools.

Bulletin Boards: Offer us a prominent school bulletin board to decorate on a sexual violence prevention or education theme of your choosing!  Some popular bulletin board themes include: the importance of consent, the pillars of healthy relationships, and the 5 D’s of Bystander Intervention. We are also happy to help support students in designing their own bulletin boards on our topic areas.

Teen Book Clubs: Invite us to host a teen book club that explores our key content areas though young adult fiction!  We allow young people to select a book of interest from our curated list and will lead engaging in-person or virtual discussions. Recommended for middle and high schools.

We appreciate receiving as much notice as possible for requests and will do our best to accommodate based on our capacity. Honoraria to support our work are always appreciated, and allow us to build staffing capacity to respond to requests.
